Fiber Optic Training Course #SP 128
Days: Mondays & Wednesdays Nights: Six (6) Nights 32 Hour course

Time: 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Dates: May 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, and 21st
Description: This class will cover Fiber Optic training for the construction industry, including safety and code. There is a prerequisite for this class that students must complete prior to the in-person dates indicated above for this course. Students must complete approximately 16 hours of online training prior to the In-Person portion of the class. Once payment is received, the instructor’s email will be provided, and the instructor will be available for guidance with the online coursework. For the In-Person portion, students will have 16 hours of hands-on training including the history, current use, and future of Fiber Optics in construction. Learn how to install, terminate, inspect, and test Fiber Optic cable using Corning termination kits and Fluke meter testing equipment. There will be a certification test at the conclusion of the course. With successful completion of the written certification test and demonstration of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the hands-on work, students will be awarded the Fiber Optic Associations "Certified Fiber Optic Technician" certificate. Be advised! There is a non-refundable $100 certification fee. The certification is good for 3 years.

Intro to Computers for Electrical Construction I Course #SP 132
Days: Saturday One 8-hour day 8 Hour course

Foreman Development Training- Series II Course #SP 133

Description: This course is the second part of the Foreman Development series, and a continuation of the Foremen Development Training Series I class. This class is the. This program provides an overview of the duties and responsibilities of the foreman on a typical job and how the implementation of industry “best practices” can improve competitiveness in the construction marketplace. Modules covered include: The Role of the Foreman, Safety, Communication, documentation, change management, project closeout, understanding the estimate, and highly effective foreman.

CPR Refresher (Online) Course #SP 134
Days: Wednesday Nights: Two (2) Nights 6 Hour course

Dates: June 4th (to begin online portion) and 25th (in-person)
Description: This is an online refresher course for CPR. Once the online portion is completed, students must arrive in-person on the date indicated to demonstrate the lifesaving skills needed for CPR recertification.
