The San Francisco Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), is a cooperative effort between the San Francisco Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union #6. The JATC is charged with the responsibility of recruiting and training Apprentices to meet the ever-growing needs of the Electrical and Sound & Communications Industries.

In addition to training Apprentices in the necessary skills required to be an Electrician or Sound & Communication Technician, the JATC also provides an extended education program of skills update and improvement courses to Local 6 members. The program keeps those individuals as technologically current as possible in their respective fields.
